How can the government allow companies to censor freedome of speech in chats?
I am curious, when you log into a game or a chat, the company has the right to censor or punish you. Eventhough the ideas or what you say doesnt violate any laws, they can still censor you from expresing them. My point of view is, why should i be forced to follow the rules of the company when the company is not following my constitutional rights? What i'm asking is, how could the practice of censoring my words be allowed by companies or websites (chats or games)?
Eventhough i agree to the terms of services or code of conduct, i am forced to agree to them just like slavery was forced, i believe this is an unfair practice vs the customer

The constitution protects you from the government. It does not apply to the owners of privately owned computer systems such as those that run the games and chat.

Your constitutional protections are protections against the powers of government. The government, the federal government or your state government, may not keep you from printing a newspaper, may not arrest you without either warrant or probable cause, may not keep you in jail without reasonable bail, etc., etc., etc. The Constitution protects you against censorship by the government, but does not protect you against the rules a company requires in the terms of service you voluntarily agreed to.
A company which hosts chat or games may limit who may participate and what may be said in the chat or games. When you sign on for their services, as you did with Yahoo!Answers, you agreed to follow those rules. You now are a party to a contract.
Of course, you can choose not to use that chat or that game. (Slaves did not have the choice.) You can find another chat or another game with different rules and standards. It is your choice.
The company hosting the website is not obligated to hand over control of the content of the website.

Please, try to see it from a Business' point of view.
They want to get as many people playing their game as possible....If they allow you to Curse and Abuse people, even though it is your right, the Infringe on the Rights of Those that do not want to hear that sort of language and Abuse.
So, they ask you to accept that those things are not allowed, by Clicking on the EULA before you log on.
They would rather Lose One Potty Mouth and their $19.99/month than 20 people that get offended by that.
Thanks for the question.

Freedom of speech does not apply in privately-owned places. A chat may be open to the public, but someone or some company owns it and has the right to dictate what kind of language and behavior are acceptable there, just like a school, restaurant, or shoe store does.
